Who we are

Cats & Candles began in 2025 with a simple spark of curiosity — and a candle-making kit from a local craft store. What started as a fun weekend project quickly turned into a passion for creating beautifully crafted, high-quality candles. After plenty of trial and error (and a few wax spills along the way!), we took the time to understand the science behind candle making and soon found our rhythm.

Once we perfected our process, we knew we wanted our candles to do more than just fill homes with cozy scents — we wanted them to make a difference. Inspired by our own rescue cats, Milo and Mia, we decided to use our craft to support animals in need. A portion of our profits goes directly to the local animal shelter where we adopted them, and we also donate to other shelters and animal welfare organizations whenever possible.

Today, we’re a small, passionate team hand-pouring professional-quality soy wax candles and melts right from our kitchen. With every candle we create, we’re not only sharing our love for craftsmanship and comfort — we’re helping local animals find their forever homes.

Why Soy Wax?

Cats & Candles deliberately opts for the all-natural qualities of soy wax over the more prevalent petroleum-derived paraffin wax. Unlike paraffin-based candles, soy wax burns without emitting harmful toxins or pollutants, thereby fostering a healthier indoor atmosphere. Although working with soy wax can present certain challenges and occasionally result in minor aesthetic imperfections during burning, we regard these nuances as intrinsic elements of its natural allure. Our dedication to the eco-conscious and sustainable advantages of soy wax aligns seamlessly with our mission to craft safe, clean-burning candles for the well-being of you and your loved ones.
